Digital product design

Software and applications designed for the people who use them.

Turn your ideas into digital products with personality

As applications increasingly look alike, we create digital products that express your identity. A strong visual direction, carefully designed interactions and thoughtful details give your product character and make it more enjoyable to use.

We combine UX design, prototyping and UI design to create a distinctive experience that is easy to use and supports your business goals. Your brand comes to life in a product your users recognize and appreciate.

What is digital product design?

Digital product design defines how software, an application or a platform will meet its users’ needs. It involves understanding those needs, organizing features, designing the visual interface and creating an interactive prototype.

This process brings together three perspectives: what users need to accomplish, what your organization wants to improve and what is technically feasible.

For a client portal, this may mean simplifying a service request. For business software, it may mean making a company more productive. Every design decision serves a specific task and goal.

Why invest in the design of your digital product?

A digital product can offer every feature you want and still be difficult to use. Design helps simplify navigation, make interfaces clearer and make users’ tasks easier.

Here are more good reasons to invest in the design of your digital product:

  • Encourage adoption: design user journeys that reflect the habits and needs of your teams and clients.

  • Simplify important tasks: clarify the steps, information and actions needed to reach a goal.

  • Validate your ideas before development: test your interfaces with users to identify difficulties and refine the design before investing in development.

  • Spot problems early: identify points of confusion in a mockup or prototype before developing the screens involved.

  • Plan for your product’s evolution: define consistent components and guidelines to guide future additions.

When should you bring in a design team?

Whether you want to bring an idea to life or improve an existing product, we tailor our support to your needs.

You are planning a new product: you want to turn an idea into concrete user journeys, identify priority features and explore the experience before starting development.

Your software is difficult to use: your teams increasingly rely on workarounds, make errors or ask for help. An analysis of users’ pain points helps identify where improvements are needed.

You are modernizing an application: the product has grown over the years and its screens lack consistency. We help you rethink user journeys and design based on your priorities.

You are adding a new feature: you need to integrate it into the existing experience while accounting for users’ habits and the product’s constraints.

Products designed for how they are used

An application used in the field and management software used in an office present different challenges. We consider devices, roles, available information and the conditions in which tasks are performed.

Our design projects

Private businesses, organizations, foundations and public sector institutions have trusted us with their digital projects for over 19 years. Here is a look at the digital product design projects we have completed to meet a variety of needs.

Gamification application for amusement centres

Ubisoft

We developed a gamification platform for the Rabbids Amusement Centre, creating an immersive experience connected to visitors’ RFID wristbands that let them complete quests, earn points and redeem them for rewards.

Event gamification platform

Jouez Osheaga

For the Osheaga festival, powered by National Bank, we designed a web gamification platform connected to Evenko’s ticketing system and the RFID system used in access wristbands. Festivalgoers uploaded photos, earned points by taking part in activities on site and redeemed their points for merchandise.

FAQ

Can you improve an existing product without starting over?

Yes. The project can focus on a user journey, a form or a section of your application. An analysis of the product and the issues users encounter helps determine what needs attention, then plan changes based on their value and technical constraints.

Is a prototype a product that is ready to launch?

An interactive prototype is generally used to simulate and test an experience. It does not replace a working application. A proof of concept focuses on technical feasibility and helps secure funding. A minimum viable product, or MVP, is an initial usable version limited to essential features, intended to gather feedback under real-world conditions.

What software do you use to design digital products?

We use Figma to design interfaces, create mockups and build interactive prototypes. This tool lets us present user journeys, gather your feedback and organize design system components. It provides a shared reference for design and development teams, making reviews easier and guiding the development of your product.

Do you consider development costs in your design decisions?

Yes. We consider development costs from the start of the digital product design process. We assess the complexity of features and interactions with the technical team to propose solutions that fit your budget. Reusing components and developing priority features first helps keep costs within budget.
